This season looks epic indeed. Season 2 was ok. However, season 3 looks promising with it taking place in Myrtle Beach, South Cackalacky. Myrtle Beach is the quintessential place for Kenny Powers. It is the great middle-class beach of the east coast. It’s home to confederate flag boogie boards, the strip (at the once pavilion), loose women, beer bongs, cheap t-shirts, hermit crabs, shagging and cheap beers at the Bowery. I cannot think of a better setting for Kenny Powers.
“Eastbound & Down” returns on February 19, and as part of the run-up to the premiere, HBO has released this teaser trailer. It features pretty much everything you’d expect: Kenny Powers saying ridiculous things in front of children, Kenny Powers in a ridiculous costume, Kenny Powers shotgunning beers, Kenny and Stevie high-fiving, and April (CON BAMBINO!) making the “Dammit, Kenny” face. Basically, it’s everything you love about the show boiled down into a 30 second clip. I love it dearly. read more The “Eastbound & Down” Season 3 trailer is 100% Kenny Powers
