We do have a lot of duct tape in Texas so that is not a problem.

Ted Poe, Texas Congressman speaking to the U.S. House of Representatives about the 2008 energy bill.  In 2014, the incandescent light bulb will be banned in America.  I don’t have a problem with buying CFL’s.  I actually prefer them, but banning them seems a little silly to me.  The CFL bulbs have mercury in them and are a bigger environmental threat than Edison’s light bulb.  However, CFL bulbs are more efficient and last longer.  The incandescent bulb would eventually phase out from homes, because nobody wants to buy light bulbs that don’t last as long.  The incandescent bulb could still be used for heating things like the easy bake oven or your fried chicken.  Just let things be.
